An article by Kim Phelan in the Jan/Feb 2022 issue of Casting Source Magazine entitled “Who’s ready for a Copper-Covered World?” talks about the EPA’s approvals about copper’s COVID-killing and antimicrobial properties. The article shares that as of February 10, 2021, manufacturers are approved to source EPA-registered copper alloys containing 95% copper from EPA-registered suppliers to manufacture products for repetitively-touched surface applications in any public place.
